St. Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish priest who was martyred in the Nazi concentration camps of WWII, saving the life of a fellow prisoner who had a family. He is the patron saint of families, those in prison, and the pro-life movement. His feast day is celebrated on August 14th.
Made of deep grey and striped linen/cotton, with felt and hand stitched detailing in the halo and face. His face and hair are made with 100% merino wool felt, will resist pilling and stay soft!
