Saint Maksymilian Kolbe, minimally styled and ready to be treasured. Both as a prayer companion and daily friend, this piece is a wonderful way to teach about the incredible witness of faith and sacrifice shown by this modern saint.
St. Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish priest who was martyred in the Nazi concentration camps of WWII, saving the life of a fellow prisoner. He is the patron saint of families, those in prison, and the pro-life movement. His feast day is celebrated on August 14th.
Made of deep grey and striped linen/cotton, with felt and hand stitched detailing in the halo and face, and crowns of purity and martyrdom on his side. His face, hair and crowns are made with 100% merino wool felt, will resist pilling and stay soft!
Roughly 9 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide.
